Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data TestBeaver collects and how we use it when you use testbeaver.com, the API, and related services.

1. What we collect

  • Account data — email, optional display name, password (stored hashed), and verification status
  • Product data — projects, suites, test cases, runs, results, and membership
  • API tokens — token names, prefixes, and hashes (full secrets are shown once at creation)
  • Usage & technical data — logs such as IP, user agent, and request metadata needed to run and secure the service

2. How we use data

  • Provide and improve TestBeaver (auth, projects, runs, API access)
  • Send transactional email (verification, security notices)
  • Prevent abuse, debug issues, and keep the platform secure
  • Comply with legal obligations where required

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Cookies & sessions

We use cookies (or similar) for authentication sessions so you can stay signed in. API clients may use personal access tokens instead of cookies.

4. Sharing

We use infrastructure providers (hosting, email delivery, databases) that process data on our behalf to operate the service. They are not permitted to use your data for their own marketing. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the service and users.

5. Retention

We keep account and product data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account; some logs may be retained for a limited period for security and legal reasons.

6. Security

We use industry-standard practices such as encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and hashed API tokens at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Your choices

  • Update profile details in Account settings
  • Create and revoke API tokens at any time
  • Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data where applicable

8. Children

TestBeaver is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date on this page will change when we do. Continued use means you acknowledge the updated policy.

10. Contact

Privacy questions can be sent through the support options on TestBeaver once available, or raised from your account.
